Thanks Lynda for adding me to the list!!! How rude of me to not thank you earlier... thats really nice of you to do this for everyone!!

Im not shy to admit when I saw my name on that list, I blushed.

I'm leaving the homestead tomorrow morning headin' WAY down south to Washington... Surgery is on tuesday... wow... My auntie, and grandparent's came by the house tonight to wish me luck, and send me off...

Hi everyone!

My surgery is scheduled for April 30th, and I have my pre-op testing this week on the 16th. I'm nervous about it because my surgery was already cancelled once because of high Bg and heart abnormalities on the EKG. Now it's 2+ months later, I'm on 4 times my original dose of metformin, had a cardiac stress test where everything was totally normal. What else could go wrong?

I was so READY in February that it was really a blow to have it cancelled. So I can't let myself get excited again until AFTER I pass that pre-op testing. I've been waiting for this for over 15 months now.

Good luck to everyone who is going in this week!!!

Fellow April Staplers:
For those of you who are now on the losers' bench, my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes! And for those of you, like me, whose times are near, I pray they come quickly and as smoothly as possible. I am getting very excited (anxious, freaked, scared, impatient--fill the Magic Bullet with all those words) and just wish it were Wednesday already.
But God bless us all and may we work our plans well during these wild rides we shall soon face!

Here's my lyrics for the morning...Not sure what tune they'd go to, but definitely something that rocks hard:

Yahoooooooooo! Away I go! Down the weightloss slide
Riding a wild ride
Hoping for the best, I won't let it rest
Until there's some "sag" in my hide!
Yahoooooo! Soon there'll be less of me
I'm wanting my world to see
that I'm getting in charge of me...
And the greatest is yet to be,
(but excuse me I've got to go pee!)
Yahooooo!

(Sorry if I got a bit too silly and inappropriate there...I'm just excited is all....
Peace!

Hi all I had my surgery on April 2nd and am 12 days out. Everything has gone smoothly so far I just get tired easily. I have been reading this fourm for months and it has been the greatest support I could have. My family is behind me but you know how it is for people not in your shoes.

I just want to say thanks.

My date is the 24th of this month. All my co-workers and most of my family are giving me a hard time about this because of the horror stories they hear but I'm not looking back........
Wish me luck.
