Thanks Amanda. Pre Op is Friday. I am a club sponsor and we are going to competition this weekend Saturday, so I do not have time to get nervous yet. I imagine about 7 pm on Saturday night...the nerves will set in!

Lynda, thank you for making and keeping a list. You're an inspiration to us all. To all who have had surgery this month-wishing you a speedy and uncomplicated recovery. As to the rest of my fellow March "staplers in waiting" good luck- the end of the "preop liquid diet" is almost upon us. You're all in my thoughts and prayers.

It is definitely a pleasure. For me, it keeps the excitement alive that I felt when I saw my name on 'the list'! That preop diet is tough, we need distractions and things to be excited about!

Join me in wishing them the very best on surgery day and for a successful outcome. If you're having surgery this month and are not yet on the list, please post to me in this thread, and I'll add you!

For those who have already had it this month...I say congrats and I Pray that all of you are recovering well....I have a question...what personal items did you take and use at the hospital? My doctor did not give me a list and I hate taking things I will not use....I am good at over packing.

Tracy,
You're going to want Lip Balm of some kind, loose jammies/yoga pants/sweats to wear home, you'll probably be swollen, a small pillow to hold against your tummy for the ride home. Other than that, the hospital literally provided every need, including deodorant and a toothbrush! Actually, I think they provided lip balm too, but we all have our favorites. I am currently in love with the Bigelow Spearmint lip balm from Bath and Body works...yum...it freshens your breath too!...but I digress...The most important thing to take to the hospital with you is a positive attitude. Think happy thoughts as you're going under. You're on your way!
