Howdy Neighbor.. congrats on your date..

As far as protein goes.. the best suggestion I can give you is to NOT STOCK UP. I couldn't do the powders at first.. I had to have the pre-mixed stuff.. but if you do buy something my suggestion is to buy at Costco or GNC. If you don't like it (no matter how much you use) you can return it or exchange it with the receipt. In the beginning you will have lots of changes in taste.. you may like something one day and the next day it can make you sick to even smell it. The surgery is weird that way. How exciting it is for you to be starting your new journey.. I wish you the best and a safe and speedy recovery..

Thanks! I appreciate all the info! I am going to clean out the pantry and fridge. Then I am going to get some crystal lite and I already have 1-2 sugar free jello's, one can of chicken broth and a cream soup. I can't even fathom what this is going to be like!

You Ladies crack me up,

I just want to make a suggestion before surgery. It is hanis to say the least, but well worth it one month later. Measure yourself!!!! Measure every part of your body you can measure. I wish I had measured myself before surgery no matter how embarrising it would have been. It will be an encouragement to you when you hit a wall about 1 month or so into weight loss. I started measuring myself 1 month after surgery and I was amazed at what has come off. The measurement that I do know of are more than 20 inches off in 12 weeks. I haven't measured in 2 or 3 weeks now. The only measurments I did have were from Dr Potts. Waist and Butt. I lost 6 inches in my butt alone the first month......

Congrats on both of your surgery dates. I will say a prayer for both of you. I would worry if you both weren't scared about having major surgery. It is a normal process to be freaking out at this point in the game. Deep breaths and prayers.

I'm almost a year post-op and I STILL can't think of Jello without feeling my stomach wretch. I don't think I'll EVER be able to eat Jello again. Blechhhhh!
