Default Woo Hoo! Got a surgery date!

July 28th with Dr. Callery. I could have had July 7th, but that date conflicted with a huge vacation I'm going on. I'm totally stoked, and I've also noticed that I'm a little bit more nervous now. Seems more real I guess.

Congratulations on your surgery date! This surgery is sooo..... worth it. Have fun on your vacation. Next trip after losing a ton of weight you'll be shocked at how much more energy you have. And wait until you fly in a plane thinner.....now that's a REAL emotional high!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you. Suzanne

Default Awesome!

Troy,

Great news, friend!! Have fun on your vacation and remember...try to walk and get in any exercise you can now. It helps a lot after surgery!!

Default Congratulations!

Congratulations, all right! I am scheduled for 7/7 and was way excited when I got scheduled. It is getting very close now. I can't wait. I was going to go to East County support group last night but I felt like the bottom of a bird cage when I got home from work. It's either allergies or I'm coming down with something. It would be just my luck to get a cold right before surgery! How did the clothing exchange go?

Default Surgery date changed.

WOW! Leslie called me today and changed my date to June 29th. Because of my trip on July 17th, I either had to get done really soon, or not untill after the trip. So, I got real lucky and a spot opened up for sooner. HOLY MOLY! Thats so soon. I'm really getting the nerves now. Both excitement, and anxiety. Any one else getting done on June 29th?

Troy.

Where are you going for vacation? You will be about 3 weeks out and will still tire easily. I don't want to rain on your parade, but at 3 weeks out I did not have much energy.

Default Vacation

I'm going to Cabo. I was going to fish, now I'll just be watching my kids and Dad fish. Alot of laying around and relaxing.

Hate to rain on your parade, but ask Kelly about travelling at 3 weeks out. Flying and long car trips are pretty much a no-no because of the danger of blood clots. I had a trip planned 4 weeks after my scheduled surgery and when I told Kelly her eyes flew open and she said "no way" unless I wanted to take a huge gamble. I rescheduled my surgery.
