Default Need Some Input!!!

My surgery date is 5 weeks away and today I went for a stress test. I got a call from the cardiologist stating that there might be a problem with one of my artieries. He has scheduled a cardiac cath & possible angioplasty on
feb. 28th. I am afraid that this will put my surfery off for a while. Has anyone had this happen to them before their surgery?

I did not have this experience but I just wanted to say I'm sorry this has come up. Although isn't it great they found and can now fix the problem. You will be in the best shape possible b4 your surgery. All things happen for a reason. Best of luck!

Look on this as a blessing. I long ago realised that things happen for a reason.

Keep your chin up.

Mini,
Hi and welcome. A big part of the pre-op testing is to prepare you for surgery and for the longgggggggggg and healthy life ahead of you. If this is something, and they need to fix it before surgery, look on it as a blessing that they caught it now...each delay in this journey is usually for a very good reason. Best of luck to you. I hope this is nothing serious.

I agree with the other posters...look at this as a blessing. It's better to know if there are issues BEFORE surgery...then finding out DURING! Right?

If it delays the surgery, so what? You'll just be on the loser's bench a little later than expected, right?

Keep us posted on your journey!

Thank you so much for your responses. I am realizing that maybe it's was a blessing in disguise. I will keep you posted on the outcome on the 28th.
