Pre Op Diet - ThinnerTimes

Hi Everyone,
My surgery is Saturday and of course I am scared!!!! I am on the preop diet of just a liquid diet with proteinshakes. I am only on day 2 and am sad, grumpy, have a headache and feel weak. Is this normal??? I never thought I would feel this way before surgery. I weighed 214 at my last visit and I am 5"2. Any kind of support or similar storeis will make me feel so much better

I have 2 small children and a husband who is trying to be supportive but uggh. I also have been having major anxiety. Other than that I really am excited!!

Were you eating normally before the liquid diet? If so, I would assume you're going through sugar withdrawal.

yes i was on a regular diet until Saturday. I know I will get through this and not cheat. I just didn't expect to feel so weak. Also I was a BIG soda drinker and had to stop all of that...

Sounds like you're just the typical bundle of emotions. Surgery can't come fast enough, and then it comes to fast. You'll do well. Keep us posted.
