Default Surgery in 10 days..what should we be doing?

Hi all,

So, our surgery is in 10 short days (2/26).

We're:

Meeting with the nutritionist tomorrow
Did the psych eval
Read Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies cover to cover
Poring over what seems like every message board posing ever made on any WLS site
Have a few protein powders and drinks to try (careful not to stock up on any one type until we find out what our tastes will end up being)
Ordered a liquid version of the one med we needed to change
Tried some liquid multivitamins
We have our final pre-op meeting with the surgeon on Wednesday (2/20)

What else should we be doing? (in case you hadn't noticed, I'm a research-aholic)

Sounds like you guys are very prepared. All that's left is the packing of the few things you'll need to take with you. As you'll see recommended often, take some lip balm, a robe to cover your behind on your walks, and if you're one of those who can't deal without it, your own pillows.

Good luck to you.

I made sure I had one last good taste of things I knew I'd miss for awhile

Yeah, we're doing that this weekend! Not bingeing, just enjoying a few things.

Doc says just eat healthy after this weekend.

If you already haven't...I'd get some post-op stuff ready for your return home; i.e. broth, sugar-free jello, fat-free/sugar free jello, crystal lite...those sorts of things. But remember not to buy TOO much of anything...I stocked up on the pudding and the jello and post-op do not like either!! Kids at the pudding but the jello still sits in the fridge untouched.
