Hi all, I have a slight running nose and my surgery is tomorrow. I had a slight cough on Friday & Sat. Feeling better this morning. Will I be okay for surgery tomorrow?

Do you have a temp? If so, they may reschedule it for your safety. Be up front with your doc, though...

I have no fever. I am actually feeling better this morning just a slight running nose. I stayed in bed Fri and Sat. Today I am up but I do not plan to leave home; just keeping warm.

Then you should be okay - just be sure to tell your doc about it when you get there so he can decide...

Or perhaps you can call his/her service today - they should be able to page him to have him call you...

I remember Dayanara having a pretty hefty cold at the time of her surgery... so long as she was breathing ok, they went ahead... This has been a big concern of mine too... so many things have leaped out in front of me lately... LOL!

I'm sure you'll be on schedule Rocky... TOMORROW! WHEEEEEeeeeeeEEeeee! and as your'e up walking around on Tuesday - think of me, under the knife!!!

Supportive and cheer-filled HUGS!

Rocky and Toony, I'm so excited for you!!!! You will be fine for surgery as long as there is no temp. I'll say a prayer for you both!!! Can't wait to hear all about your experiences. Take special care of yourselves.

Default Toony ....

My surgery is at 7:30 AM need to be at the hospital at 5:30AM. I just got a call from my anesthesiologist (Dr. Winter) to introduce himself and to remind me my stomach should be empty. Last protein drink was at 5:00pm.

I will try to get some sleep but only about a million things are on my mind right now

Best of luck to you Toony.
