This isn't ONLY about a diet, and about losing weight. This is about giving yourself a chance,a time, a honeymoon period, where you have an opportunity to start all over again, to start a new lifestyle (notice I didn't say CHANGE), to begin a new way of life when it comes to food, habit, life. There are MANY changes during this journey.

IMO, it is important to focus on the BIG picture, and then identify whether it is appropriate for each indivdiual. THE BIG PICTURE! And that picture, for me, is one beautiful painting.....

Well...sorry to be so blunt, but opinions are like a$$holes - everybody has them. Unfortunately most folks don't know when to keep their opinions to themselves either. You know what is right for you, and only you can be your advocate for your own health. I agree with the other posts, so i will get off my soapbox now

Good luck to you... I wish I had some advice, but I am still pre-op and also going through the 2nd thought stuff too. I know what I have to do, I am confident in that decision, and everyone else can sit and spin!!! I am so fortunate to have some huge supporters, but one of my closest family members is very negative about my decision to have WLS. It is my dad. I have stopped giving him updates, and talking about it with him all together.

Good luck to you!
