Default Highest weight vs. Surgery date

For those of you who posted your highest weight then surgery date, was your loss attributed to your pre-op diet?

Yep - lost 25 pounds in the month and a half prior to surgery thanks to Optifast (aka Optifamine...). I worked for that weight loss as well as the weight lost after surgery, so I do count the weight loss prior to surgery in my total pounds lost...

Me too. My dr required a 20 lb weight loss preop to do the surgery. I did the atkins diet and lost 32 lbs preop.

Yes, I put my self on a part time liquid diet since mid November and went from 400 to 385, that was my weight at my first doctor visit, then I started full time liquid diet 2 week pre-op and lost another 15lbs to the day before my surgery. So total weight lost prior to surgery was 30lbs. I think it made a big difference on how quick I recovered

Part of my loss was due to the 2 week pre-op diet but I went from 355-353.5 during the 6 months I was working on getting my labs in order for surgery. My surgeon refused to do surgery on me until my labs looked better. I lost another 10 pounds the first week of my pre-op diet and another couple pounds the next week.
