Default Toony's Countdown
Hi Y'all... I had my pre-op exam with my Primary Care Physician today... the first words out of his mouth were, "Aren't you EXCITED?" I said, "Yes, nervous and excited..." He thought I should just be PLAIN OLD EXCITED and said that he's excited for me!

It's nice to have the positives... He congratulated me for doing this for myself...

I passed my pre-op physical with flying colors... answering his battery of questions about my health - I finally said "I'm just a healthy old fat lady!" My Dr. chuckled...

Other than my knee, that feels pretty great right now --- no complaints.
(He has no problem with me returning the knee brace, btw...)

I had a pedicure with a friend this afternoon --- that was relaxing and felt sooo good!

Met with a former co-worker for an art project her company has hired me to do (international distribution of KTOON art! you may see me in the UK yet)

Had my "last dinner" with my BFF and told her all about my surgery... It's snowing pretty hard - so we stuck to town and had a DISAPPOINTING meal... but a good time together. She's all worried about me getting smaller than her - and promises to step up her own healthy eating plans...

TOMORROW: The start of the dreaded 2-week protein shakes!!!

We're all counting down with ya! That 2-week "diet" will go by quickly and your surgery date will be here before you know it. I'm sooo happy for you! You're one special lady and I hope your journey is a terrific one!
