Katie, I'm relieved to know that Mr. Toony is going to the care center for a period of time, on two levels. First of all, HE can't go on like this, and needs the time and care (which oinion you obviously share) and secondly YOU need the time to take care of you, knowing he is taken care of. I hope he stays with it, and embraces it, and it's the right thing for him.

You are doing marvelously well in crisis mode! You are my inspiration, for sure! So very exciting that you are in spitting distance from your surgery, at last!!!!!

You are great at putting your ducks in a row, you are always prioritizing, regrouping, and that will serve you so well as you take each step now, for your DH, and for yourself.

Much love,

Katie ~ You are inspiring to me too. I love reading your sip by sip take on the two week diet. I am dreading it.

Dear Mommy... Christina... The diet hasn't been bad at all for me, but then I haven't had to feed anyone for the entire time! It will be harder for you with little ones and a hubby at home to care for... I hope you'll post your own countdown so we can cheer you on too... This has been a GIANT help to me!

Claire... you are just so sweet!!! love you honey!

Sipping shake no. 81 as I type... but who's counting! LOL!

Default Day ELEVEN.... three to go!

Oooooooh - I'm beat! I'm ready for bed, and am 4 shakes and a protein bar behind for the day... How did that happen?

Well----got up and had Shake No. 1... then snowblowed the driveway, stopped at the bank (only money I've been spending is on GAS these days), to the key shop for work, and then to the hospital to pick up the hubby.... While we waited for his wheel chair, I had Shake No. 2...

From there we went to the clinic to have a cast put on his bad foot! The new ortho popped in to see him early this a.m. (saving us from an appt with him later in the day) and wanted him non-weight bearing and in a cast for a couple of months... interesting... I did suggest that about 2 yrs ago! Anyway...

From there - to the new Care Center, and got him admitted. Poor guy was sooo tired and hungry, blood sugar down to 90... low for him! They fed him SHRIMP for lunch (2 p.m.) and I finally got Shake No. 3 & 4 and protein bar No. 1 in about 4:30... (BTW, my mother is a resident of the same care center - so I get to visit both of them!)

I'm home now and more tired than hungry... hoping I get my 2nd wind... I have to get my Groundhog Day cards addressed tonight so they can be cancelled at the big event tomorrow --- (see www.groundhogcentral.com ) My artwork is the USPS cancellation mark as Sun Prairie is the OFFICiAL Groundhog Capital of the World (Punxsutawney Phil is a wannabee)...

Looking forward to my DOWN TIME... 3 more days... just about here!
