Katie ~ I wanted to ask you which childrens books you illustrated?? I think I read that in a prior post. I have a 3 year old, and a 11 month old, and both of them LOVE to be read to. I am always on the search for a great book for them.

Hopefully today is well, and full of protein!!!!!

Smile Eight Down... 6 to go...

Typing from BLIZZARD COUNTRY!!!

and still reporting in with a perfect record! I'm actually needing to get in another shake tonight, but don't think I'll make it... funny for a LONG day! I woke up at 4 a.m.... couldn't sleep so went on in to the hospital... I thought I'd catch the doctors --- and get home before the snow started...

one MD (Key Guy) didn't show up until 2:30!!! By then, there was no point in going in to the office...

... the latest on Mr. Toony... the Infectious Disease doctors want him to go to a care center to finish out 35 more days of 2-a-day i.v. antibiotics... Mr. agreed if only to a specific center... and wouldn't you know it's full... They recommended a 2nd center - I stopped on my way home to tour it... COUNTRY CLUB quality... I'm sure he'd be ok there... but I think they're full too. Mr. Toony is NOT a snob - he just had a bone rattling experience in a "home" when he went for rehab after his foot surgery... rightly so! My expectations are as high as his...

So? if they DON'T find a suitable place for him, the doc will have to modify the plan to diff meds... and we'll have to take him in every day for infusions... We can make it work... we're just in limbo right now as to what'll be happening. '

Gotta say - his "drama" is making the time fly by for me. SIX MORE DAYS!!! Wheeeee! I can honestly say I am not nervous... I am excited!!! The nerves will kick in as they do before any surgery... but I'm doing just great.

Since I was actually home tonight, I got T-T in the works... gotta get him done, packed and ready for his trip to St. Mary's with me!!!

Toony ~ so many things to be grateful for!
  • Hubby willing to go to a good facility
  • Surgery date NOT changed
  • Having insurance
  • Staying on pre-op diet
  • Knowing that life will be changing for the better after Feb. 5th!
  • Having LOTS of friend pulling for both you and your hubby

No wonder you have such a great attitude towards life and its bumps in the road...you are wonderfull and we are all wishing you the best!!!!

I'm not "published" as an illustrator. My BFF teaches 1st grade and wrote a bunch of interactive stories for beginning readers... I illustrated them... I sent a copy of our two "Groundhog" books to Mike and Eric with their Sock Monkeys --- mainly cuz the monkeys looked so lonely in their boxes!!!

Awww.. you're right. I do have lots of things to be grateful for --- and I run through my list all the time! I also have a job where I can come and go as needed... two adult kids and an awesome son-in-law willing to do anything for us... a warm bed at night ... the list could go on forever...

Speaking of a warm bed... g'night!!! (day 9 looms!!!)
