Default Four Down... Ten to go!

Hi All... yup! Survived Day 4!!! I've got quite a routine down, carrying my Magic Bullet, packets of protein power and bars with me to work and then to the hospital. I've only been getting 2 of my 8 shakes a day in at home! The rest have been on the road...

What did I learn today?
  • I'm losing my sense of smell... barely caught a whiff of Subway today as I walked right past it!
  • Hospital food looked DELICIOUS -cheese omelet and BACON (see Bacon thread) --- but I didn't drool or try to lick the plate
  • Too much crushed ice in the Magic Bullet, and you have to eat your shake with a spoon! (which is not such a bad thing)

Katie, I'm so proud of you.

You remind me so much of how I was pre-op, on that liquid stage (I efuse to use the word "diet"). I was so gung ho, because I knew it was the first step in a life change. And it is that way for you, too!

I'm so proud of you, and i can feel that elation you feel as you "survive" each day!!!!

Again, you go, girl!

Default Day 5 - 9 to go!

Are ya'll getting tired of my daily check-in on my pre-op trek? Sorry... skip on by. This spot keeps me centered and on track and HONEST! I don't want to come here and have to confess to driving thru McDonalds or calling for a pizza! Anyway, you only have to put up with it for nine more days! LOL!

Today's Shakes/Bars...

No new discoveries today. I mean, really --- how much can you say about this very limited diet? It fits in a bag and travels with me wherever I go... The nurses at the hospital are falling in love with my Magic Bullet... I think I should get a commission (just as Duckie should on the Ducksacks).

I shouldn't have a problem missing food post-op since I'm getting that out of my system now... at least trying to!

Still 100% compliant... argh... 9 more days... can I make it??? If I splurge the night before surgery, do you think my liver would notice? LOL! Oh, I won't... stop yelling at me!!!!

First of all, you nitwit, I can NEVER get tired of you!

You are toooooo cute and sweet and fun and easy to be with. I am a total fan, and I WANT THOSE DIALY REPORTS!!!!!

Trust me, you are doing great things with your head - it's mind games a LOT. After surgry youwon't feel like eating much, but as time goes by, and hunger returns, you will be SO glad that you started your mind games early, and continued with them, staying focused. This is going to make a HUGE difference in your adjustment when you are at goal. IMHO, of course!!!

And i would never yell at you...well....um...maybe just a little cuz that liver needs an advocate!!!

I want the daily reports, too! It's like my little soap opera world...how many more Ducksacks have been sold? Did Katie stick to the diet today? What can Jim come up with this time? Did Donnie need the seat belt extension? Stay tuned (or perhaps "tooned") for the next post on...

Keep writing!
