Exclamation Two Days Down, 12 To Go...

Well, I've fighting off demons today... BIG TIME!

My hubby is back in the hospital... and I have to walk right past SUB-WAY to and from his room... This has been my favorite part of his hospital stays... I love their little pizzas (Pepperoni please) and oatmeal raisin cookies... The smells are INTOXICATING! Yep... his room is just down the hall and around the corner from them... Lucky me... hahaa!

I did it tho --- In fact, I have ONE MORE DELICIOUS, NUTRITIOUS, EXCITING shake coming to me yet today - and I think I'll skip it (it's already bedtime for me)... I'll have an extra for tomorrow if I have a high-hunger day.

I took a couple of photos of ME today --- viewing them on my digital camera is enough to scare anyone straight... and you guys here cheering me on --- I can do this... I AM DOING THIS!!!

Nighters all... Katie

Katie,

Bless your soul having to smell good food while sipping those shakes! I have 40 days left until surgery (26 until pre-op diet), so I am also reading your sip by sip diary!

And I hadn't even thought about those of you who fix food for other people to eat while on the pre-op diet...TORTURE!! I can almost smell the lasagna now.

Go, Toony, go!

Katie - I'm putting my money on you!

Hang in there - you haven't got long to go. If you can get through this with the added stress of having your DH in/out of hospital, you can get through anything.

Default Day Three --- Eleven to go!

Hi All...

I've survived! No cheats --- except inhaling deeply as I walked past SubWay tonight... Jalepeno Peppers will be in my dreams! I snuck on an old fashioned dr's scale at the hospital... and got caught by two nurses who needed it at that exact moment... but it looks like I've lost 6 pounds in 3 days! WhoooHoooO!

What I learned today on this Pre-Op Diet:
  • Hospital Ice Chips + Magic Bullet = Thick Milky Protein Shake! (Now I want a home ice machine that also crushes it)
  • SF Life Savers are good, but almost too sweet
  • Brach's makes a SF Cinnamon suckie candy... YUM!!!
  • The SF suckers I gave my DH for Xmas aren't too bad! (He was semi-offended by the gift - but has come to appreciate them too)
Off to read through my favorite website and then off to bed to face yet another day!
