Default Day One Done... 13 To Go...

Ok... I SURVIVED today on 960 calories... I did have moments of hunger, but did survive. I DID IT!!!

Things I learned today:
  • Do NOT mix orange crystal lite in my vanilla shake... not pleasing to me!!! Now I'm staring at the last sips, not wanting to miss out on the calories & protein... and not sure I can "choke" it down... LOL!
  • Do NOT try to take your pills with a protein shake... stick with water!
  • Oh yeah, remember: You can still have water and probably should be still drinking plenty...
Plan for Day Two: Step up on the water...

Not a single cheat... not a single crumb off the plan... and that makes me feel good and STRONG!!!

Katie

You guys are gonna keep me in line and on track... I would hate to come back to confess to falling face-first into a pizza!!! Especially on my first day... LOL! I think if I can get through days 2 & 3... it'll get easier from then on... at least it did when I did Atkins... It takes a few days to clear the carbs out of my system...

I love your poems Mike.

Katie, I think you must be one of the most informed patients EVER. I would have had so much more confidence and support had I found this wondeful site sooner.

I am so excited for you. you are one of the first people who welcomed me. I can't wait to see you on the other side. Almost there.

You go, girl!! I just bought some protein shakes that my weightlifter friends recommended. I still have about 3 months to go, but I am going to start getting some extra protein in now!

Katie ~ Good luck on day number 2!!

Thanks Shannon & "Mommy"!

DAY TWO: Brought my "Magic Bullet" to work with me today --- the shakes are so much better with it! It was hard to watch the DH eat lasagna and french bread last night --- so I hid in my bedroom

The DH is having "issues" - and I predict a few crazy days of doctor appointments and clinic visits... I'll have to just pack up my meals and carry them with me wherever I go just "in case!" I don't want to be caught somewhere without them, that's for sure.

I may have to call in favors from everyone I know to make this surgery happen on the 5th... including the DH's PCP!!!

Aww sweetie. Sorry your honey is having issues again. BUT, packing up your food and bringing it with you will be good practice for post op! (trying to look for a silver lining here. ) Post op you never want to get caught without something in your purse!
I have so much faith in you sweetie. I know you can do this. I would have DIED though if someone ate lasagna in front of me like that. I'd have hid at the MALL! lol
