sleep well Katie, my dear! It's almost over and you will wake up in the morning ready. You must have some tremors about the whole thing, as most of us do. You deserve a healthier life and you deserve the very best. Be nice to your nurses, they work hard and you will feel crappy when you wake up. Do your best to get up and walk as soon as possible and be carefull with the drugs. I wish you well.

No worries about sleep tonight... I am at the ER with the hubby now... He must have called me 8 times at work today - never quite 'rational' in his thinking ... now I know why... he's dehydrated, feverish and in overall poor condition... We may end up as roommates! LOL! I was planning on this being a mini vacation for me... NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
No worries PALS --- surgery is set for 8 a.m. --- and I'll be there with bells on!!!!
Love from Me and TT!

It's Toony's Time!
Hi All... I left my DH in the E.R. at 11:45 p.m.... he is being admitted and will be there til Thursday or so... (Same as me!)
They think maybe he has a "DRUG FEVER" --- one of the antibiotics is causing this to happen... so they'll have to sort things out. They did take off his cast --- it was so loose, he could fit his hand into it! That's a huge difference in just a few days! Once they get the fever thing sorted out, then ortho will decide if they'll cast him again...
So, the END OF MY 2-WEEK Pre-Op Diet:
Day 14 - ZERO to go!
I ended up choking down two luke warm, non Magic Bulleted shakes in the ER cuz I hadn't "eaten" since noon... I got 6 of the 8 in for the day...
Today - at the end of the program - I have 13 shakes leftover... that means I only got in NINETY-NINE Shakes... I did, however get in all 28 protein bars (yum, substance!).
I have to admit - I had it easy! Yup, in spite of the whirlwind of hubby business in the past two weeks - the emotional roller coaster and all... I had it easy! I didn't have to cook for anyone... feed small children... go anywhere (hosp. doesn't count) or do anything... I admire those of you who have to maintain a normal life cycle during this "event!" I wonder if I could have done so well, had it not been for the craziness!!!
It's nearly 12:30 - I have to get up in about 3.25 hours to shower and finish packing... The hubby started telling me what he needed me to bring him... I just gave him "the look" and he shut up... Haahaaa!
Thanks again to each and every one of you --- You've inspired me and have educated me and given me courage and HOPE! I don't think I'd feel so happy and comfortable with this decision --- had it not been for you!
Love, Love, LOVE!!!!
Toony
