Default Surgery Date Set

I just found today that my surgery will be next monday.

That is great. I have pre-op today surgeon consult on Thursday and then surgery on Monday.

I have been in the process for several months now and it is quickly becoming a reality.

I am so ready for this adventure.

I think the odds are alot better than 50/50 coming out of the "surgery bag". I weighed the pros and cons of not having the surgery and there were more good reasons to have it than not. Just listen to everything your surgeon tells you to do and follow it! I wasn't able to walk right after surgery due to alot of pain (hit morphine button almost 400 times the first few hours after surgery) but the next day felt better and walked, walked, walked. I feel lucky that I have (so far) been able to get in ALL of my protein, walk and have very, very little if any pain.

Good luck...really think about why you need this surgery and if your a religous person...pray for a good outcome and the strength to face any obstacles that may cross your path.
