Default In Dictation

I am now in dictation and am thrilled to pieces! I was just curious if any of you post-ops had Health Net as their insurance provider and if so...did they approve quickly? Aslo did you have any problems with them approving any hospital treatments?

Thank You,
Laura

Thumbs up Laura

It depends on if you have an HMO or a PPO. If you have an HMO then the approval goes through the Medical Group you are associated with. If you have a PPO it goes right to the Insurance Company. I have health net HMO through PCA and they approved me for plastic surgery (Everything I requested which was a breast lift, thigh lift, and arm lift.. including a Tummy Tuck which I didn't request.. but what the heck!!) They approved that in less than an week. ACK!! Actually 4 days!!!.. ok 4 VERRRRRRRRRRY LOOOOOOOOONG Days.. lol

I had Blue Sheild when I had my Gastric Bypass and they approved in 2 days!! My dictation took 30 days..

I have Health Net HMO. Wow! I saw that you were approved for all that you wanted and then some! That is so exciting for you. Looks like Health Net is OK. It is a new insurance for me. I had Pacificare for 4 years and my company changed to Health Net the first of 2005. I have my fingers crossed. I am just starting to get nervous, so now all kinds of questions are popping up in my head. Thank You for all of your knowledge Christina, I apprecitae it very much.

Default Correction

Healthnet did not approve it.. my Medical Group approved it since I am an HMO.

Healthnet will pay based on my medical group's approval..
