Default Abnormal EKG

I had a abnormal ekg, It had a few problems one of the problem was a prolonged qt interval. My dr is looking into the situation. I'm worried they will not do the surgery. Has anyone ever had this problem? any info would be helpful. Thanks Shannon

I AM THE QUEEN OF ABNORMAL EKGS! And i am only 23. Never had an issue in my damn life with my heart. I had 3 ekgs and 1 echo. Gotta love when 4 days before my 2nd rescheduled surgery I get a call from my surgeon saying that my pcp didnt clear me due to my ekg. OHHHH boy.. That was the week from hell.

Worst case they will send you to a cardio. guy and/or do an echocardiogram... Trust me though, i was freakin out up until like the friday before surgery. It will all work out :-)

Wink

thanks, I am freaking out. I have waited sooo long and jumped through many hoops. I'm stuck in limbo till they figure out what is causing the problems, could it just be a mistake? Thanks for the shoulder to whine on! Shannon

They may re-do it. Could be someone who placed the leeds(sp?) wrongly or it could be a weird ekg... you have to just wait it out.. i know its easier said than done...

It will be okay :-D
