Default TWO months...

Exactly two months until my surgery. PLEASE tell me I am going to make it. For some reason I feel the date is never going to get here. My biggest dread is the 31 days in January. My family and friends assure me they will keep me busy... I just pray I make it until then!

I love this forum and do not know what I would do with out you guys. I have learned so much from all of you!!

Take care and I will continue to cross off the days!

Lulu,

You'll make it! My surgery is Jan 14th...and it's coming real fast. I'd take this time to research and ready yourself for this new beginning. Though I have to admit...with the holidays I've not been as organized (ie: sampling protein, practicing eatting slowly, that sort of thing) and have been eatting more than I should. But I have to remember....a new "tool" is coming to help me....and it will help you too!!

Good luck!

Cathy

LuLu,

I'm scheduled for Feb. 14 and it hasn't hit me yet. I saw the cardiologist last week but don't do anything else until mid-January. I suppose it will start seeming real at that time plus making sure I have all my work caught up before I go out on leave. One of my daughter's good friends is a dietician at the hospital where I'm having surgery so I'm counting on her to counsel me and reinforce what the surgeon says.

Hang in there!

LuLu... we'll match pretty closely... I'm supposed to be Feb 4 or 5.... won't be surprised if it's a week later...

Time to focus on the changes that are within seeing distance now!

Default weeks to go

This site has been very helpful already in my upcoming surgery. Just hearing from actual people who have been successful encourages me. I'm scheduled for January 14 and so looking forward to a new way of life. Although I do find myself doing a count down. Talking hear helps so will write more as time goes on. All the best to you!

You may want to pick some books you want to read and movies to see, save them for your recoop time. I also lined up a treadmill so I could walk inside. It will make you feel so much better.

LuLu the day will be here before you know it. The Christmas holidays seem to make the time go by fast. I am like you counting the days down. I try not to think about it too much. I think I have 17 days left Woo hoo!

Default Thanks everyone...

I have NEVER been the patient type. When I was pregnant with my son... NINE months seemed like a eternity.

Toony... I am so glad that you have a date!! I also can't wait to "skip" on the red carpet with you

Thanks again everyone for all the support!
