Good luck with everything - your turn is just around the corner. Have you had any bizarre dreams about the surgery? I have experience some weird dreams - I think it is nerves. Take Care!

i don't even want to get into that........i have had dreams for 2 weeks which causes me to not sleep well.......they are good dreams and bad dreams......my nerves have officially taken over........tomorrow starts my vacation and friday i'm driving back to oklahoma for a week.....my mom is coming back with me the night before the surgery......so i'm hoping that my mind won't wander so much since i'll be preoccupied with xmas

Tricia, I'm so excited for you. I'm sure things will go well. I wasn't nervous about my surgery. The thing that did have me worried was I had to drink a whole bottle of mag citrate the day before while only on clear liquids. it didn't kick in until about 6pm. I was still going the next morning. I felt like I still had to go while they were wheeling me into surgery and the last thought in my head before I was put under was.....Dear God, please don't let me shit myself! The first thing I did when I woke up was reach under me to feel my butt to make sure I didn't. The paralytics used for surgery is a wonderful thing. After the bowel woke up a day or so later, I finished the rest of the results of the mag citrate. The waiting during the last 2 weeks is killer, but it's going to go so fast! Sue

I had some F*cked up dreams for at least 2 weeks!!!... the first thing i made my mom promise me when i came to was to tell me what day it was!! And by all means she did!! then i went back to sleep and when i awoke again she told me again what day it was!! lol...good luck!!

My surgery is January 10th. I haven't been having weird dreams, but I have been thinking about my Mom a lot. She passed away almost 2 years ago, and all I can think of is calling her and talking to her about it.

well just got home from pre-op........everything went well. lol, they kept telling me to not eat or drink anything after midnight........they said it like 10 times......it was funny i finally asked my surgery time and they said 3:30pm......i was like, i'm havin the biggest ass last meal at MIDNIGHT strait up.....lol.........good news is i had to pay 150 dollar copay and a 100 dollar deductible........and my insurance pays 100 PERCENT........yeah!!!!!!!!!

AND I WAS SO EXCITED........my work said that after i'm outta work for 10 days straight.......my short term disability will cover 100 percent of my salary for up to 12 weeks......dude, i'm milkin that

Awesome!!! I would take as much time off as you can!!!!
I ended up being off work 2.5 months with complications. I was lucky, insurance covered all but $500. The hospital waived my other co-pays for admissions due to their mistakes. (long story). Sounds like you are set!!!! Way to go!!!

Good luck. It is a downhill battle from her now. Let us know how it works out at the appointment and keep us informed. I just had my surgery so I still now exactly how you feel and what you are going through.

WELL.......EVERYTHING'S GOOD......i'm off on a 500 mile drive today to tulsa..........hopefully my week will fly by for next week.........merry xmas all
