According to my surgeon and anaesthesiologist, the point is that nothing other than paracetamol should be taken because of the risk of clash with the blood thinning medication you will be given in the hospital. If I were you, I would stop taking all your medication now, the longer you are clear before surgery the better, and tell them when you stopped what. Prevention is all the more for your benefit...
Do tell them though so that they can adjust their medication for you.
You'll be fine on the day!
