Question Whats Needed

HI EVERYONE I HAVENT POSTED IN A WHILE, BUT IM GETTING CLOSER AND I HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS. WHILE MY PENDING SURGERY DATE IS NOT UNTIL JULY OR AUGUST (IT MIGHT BE BEFORE OR MAYBE AFTER) I WANT TO START PREPARING MYSELF NOW. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT VITAMINS IN LIQUID, PILL AND CHEWABLE ARE RECOMMENDED, PROTEIN DRINKS THAT ARE RECOMMENDED AND ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE TO FURTHER PREPARE ME FOR SURGERY IN THE WAY OF THINGS THAT WILL BE NEEDED AFTER SURGERY. WHAT FOODS GOT YOU THROUGH THE BEGGINING WEEKS. YOU KNOW I HAVE DONE SO MUCH RESEARCH ON THIS NOW I JUST WANT TO HEAR SOME SUGGESTIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGH IT. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS HELPFUL. THANK YOU.

Smile A few ideas!

Whatever you do DON"T STOCK UP ON ANYTHING! I've got jello and broth coming out my ears and I never intend to eat either again. That's what got me through the first two weeks. I take two children's chewables (Equate brand from wal-mart) a day and two caltrate chewables. I use Unjury protein supplement (unflavored so you can put it in anything pudding, yogurt, etc). You can buy it online at www.unjury.com. Bad thing is shipping drives up the price. I'm looking into somethings at a natural food store and GNC, but haven't found anything yet. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you!

Question Protien Shakes For BodyBuilders?

Ok I was curious, what about the shakes that body builders use? has anyone got input on them? I don't want to look all buff and muscle~ eww gross, but I thought I read something about that being a good source of protien supplement.

I would suggest that you check your local health food store like Henry's or Wholefoods, for Liquid viatamins. They have a much higher absorbtion rate then pills. Usually they come in 1/2 ounce doses. That's what I'm planning... but then again I also sleep with my floaties on planning for the day when Cali slips into the ocean......

Most of the shakes that body builders use are very high in calories and sugar. They need the calories and carbohydrates to GAIN mass. These shakes are for a different purpose than ours. Look for a shake that is low in sugar and high in protien that you can tolerate. There are a million of them out there, and unfortunately something that you love before surgery, you might hate after. I happened to lots of us. I like Isopure Low or No carb powder. You can get it at GNC or the Vitamin store and it comes in many flavors. I use 1/2 of the serving which is one scoop, and it is 100 calories and 0 sugar, with 25 grams of protien. Good luck on your search.
