I was just curious how many of us are out there waiting for that APPROVAL? I know the waiting is killing me.

I am!! I'm hoping everything goes through ok and I should be having surgery in December. We'll see!

Waiting! Paperwork is supposed to be submitted TODAY!

I'm guessing it will not happen 'til 2008

Thats the aprt that sucks the most is waiting. But you all will have your time.

I am waiting too for both Self Pay as well as Kaiser's approval. Although, it appears (Obviously) that Kaiser's approval will not happen anytime in the next 12 months since I was finally told that I needed to wait for an invitation to an orientation that should come to me by December and that from there if I attend all my required classes on time that I should have my approval within 12 months from start of classes!!

Meanwhile, I thought I had recieved a date from my self pay route but the Nutritionist will not clear me until I lose enough to drop below 400 lbs....that might take a while and my self pay (Rather loan financing) approval expires on Nov 26th, the date that was originally given to me as the S-Day!!!

Me, although I'm not really waiting on just the approval. I have been told I don't qualify with my insurance's criteria, so we are tryin to find another way to get them to approve.

I'm in the middle of the six month supervised diet. That should be complete in Jan or Feb, then hopefully the wait wont be too long. Anyway good luck to all who are waiting.

You think waiting for approval is tough? I went through the process of jumping through fire & taming wild animals (or at least it FELT like that) to re-submit it all. That is not a fun process.

The worst is the time between when you get approved and when your actual surgery is. That's when you have time to think and for me it was like "wow ok this is real "

I found out on Tues. that the ins. company sent back my paperwork. It had to procedure codes and they could not approve it like that, so they say. My surgeons office said that they simply have to call with the correct code and they can proceed. I called back yesterday and no word yet. I really need a hobby to take my mind off of this.

And the waiting is going to kill me... it was just submitted on Tuesday. They told me 2-4 weeks.

It is nice to know that there are others waiting along with me
