You'll probably be on blood thinners for a little longer because of your previous hx of clots. Also, at your weight and having sleep apnea, you'll also spend some time in ICU after recovery. Recovery can take a little longer at the higher weight. As a man, during the inital weight loss phase, you can get more aggressive, angry, and horny as all that testosterone is flooding the bloodstream as it's released from the fat cells. You'll also have lots of extra skin flopping around. My hubby was 454 and 6 ft tall before his surgery. HHe has so much skin, that his butt crack runs all the way up to his neck!

That's just too weird I sprained my darn ankle yesterday at work! I ended up going to Urgent Care & getting an x-ray that showed no current bone damage, but I have degenerative changes on the outside of my ankle from the number of times I've sprained it in the past.

Sheesh!

nancy, make sure you list that as one of your MO conditions! Because it toally is!! My ankle use to give out all the time, especially on uneven ground......it was really embarassing. One time it happened at the rodeo walking on gravel and another time at a night club walking down a grassy slope... do you know how embarassing that is, 'cuz everyone thinks you are just a fall down, sloppy drunk FAT CHICK! I am so glad I dont have that any longer.....

Bridget,

I have a new very ugly scar all over my right knee from the end of January when I sprained my ankle on a curb -- right outside of church on the way in! I screamed when I fell, and that made everyone look. Funny thing is, I never associated it with my weight, although I started to sprain it when I gained weight. Thanks for that insight. I'll definitely list it.
