Default Discouraged--

So I started my Pre-Op diet last Friday. Slim Fast for Breakfast & Lunch then I get a WW Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine for Dinner. I've only lost 3 lbs. I would have thought I'd lost way more than that by now. Anyone else lose very little on their pre-op diet? (BTW I have one week to go)

No matter how much you lose on the pre-op, the point is you LOST! It's a hard diet to stick with, Lord knows I was starving during my pre-op diet. It was the hardest two weeks I ever did. Don't be discouraged now...it's really possible that your weight loss post op will be slow and steady, that is how it goes sometimes.. Every BODY is different. The point is....YOU LOST WEIGHT...that is the whole point. 3#'s or 10#'s now isn't going to matter in the grand scheme of things. When your a year out or more...that pre-op loss will be nothing compared to the post op loss!! Keep your eye on the goal girl!!

Dont stress all will be well - when i did my pre-op diet (on slimfast by the way) i actually put 5lbs on (yes would you believe it) i must be the only person i know that could do that lol. Mind you the next week it did come back off and a little more, so dont be stressin about it you will be fine i am sure.

Just keep at it and try not to let it get you down

Be proud of those 3 lbs. Sometimes the body doesn't want to shed those lbs. so I think you're doing great. Hang tight and show them who's boss !

Thank you guys so much for your encouraging words. All I wanted to do when I saw I'd only lost 3lbs was sit and eat a pizza lol. BAD frame of mind to be in... instead I came here where I knew my friends were and sure enough you didn't let me down. I'm thankful for each and every one of you. I can come here to read about your struggles and successes and know I'm not alone in this journey. You're all amazing!!

Hang in there - your liver is shrinking which is the most important thing. I was on a liquid dietfor a month and a half before surgery...but I snuck a lot of cheese in there I am a mouse....
