Smile Update.....

Hello my little, and not so little friends!! So I had my Ultrasound last Friday, that went fine.... had my blood work done today.... 9 tubes of blood, and three needle stick later... that's fine too. Just one more scoot in a loooooong proccess! Paula said that my Doctor should already have referred me to Dr. C..... should I ask her to do that? Or let her do it when she thinks? Speaking of Paula... I told her she better post again or I will kick her bootie but good! Love you all!!!!

Woo Hoo Robin! Glad things are moving along for you. Remember to keep calling the other place and see if there are cancelations there as well. I had my Ultrasound today and all went well. I would go ahead and ask your Dr. to get your referal to see Dr C. because sometimes it can take a couple weeks. At least mine did.

Good Luck!

Robin,

Absolutely, get that request for Dr. Callery immediately, because by the time you get to the seminar, it could be weeks or months. I had to wait for 4 months to get in a seminar. Now that Dr. Potts is on board, it may not take that long, but even so, get that done then continue with your tests. The more you have done before the actual consult the better.

Blood Work, CBC, WBC, BUN, CREAT, THYROID, LIPID, Hgb, Hct,
Psych consult
Well Woman check
Mammogram
gallbladder ultrasound
sleep study
pulmonary consult, (PFT)
EKG
CHEST XRAY
Urinalysis
Pregnancy test

I had most of this done before consult, and still took a year for my surgery. I had other tests after the consult, like cardiac stress test, adenosine test, more pulmonary tests.

Good Luck Robin,

Traci

Thank you for the valuable info! I've already had the seminar... so that's one mmore thing done. My pulminary is the second week in March. My doctor is ordering all the same tests Dr. C would so whjen I'm approved hopefully most of the tests will already be done. I will ask her this week for the referral. Thanks doll!

Proactive - that's what I like to see! It sounds like you have a great doctor. Kelly will be so impressed by your tests completed by the time you get to see her. This will most definately speed up your process.

It won't be long! Congratulations!
