Unhappy This 2 week liquid diet is killing me......

I'm on day 2 and this is really hard. I have 6 kids and a husband who still need to eat normally so all their food is having an effect on me, I really want to eat it all. I hope once Ihave the surgery it won't be that big of a deal (at least that is what I read and hope is true).
I have had a headache for 2 days now.

Day 2 was the worst for me... by about day 4, my appetite had disappeared, and by the end of it I was having to force myself to drink the shakes...

The misery will pass, I promise!!

The only way to make it worse is to "slip" and eat real food.. the guilt is overwhelming, and it makes the headaches and stuff even worse. It WILL get better, just hang in there!!!

Hang in there! You can do it!

Have you thought about getting some frozen entree's you can just heat up for the rest of the family? Can hubby help with the cooking? How about crock-pot meals?

Instead of looking at how many days left to go, look back on how many days you've accomplished! Your that much closer to your surgery and your goal! Now's the time to get into that mind set that food will not win over you anymore.

Take care - one step, one day at a time!

Oh {{{Moosie}}} here's a hug...it's tough, but it does prepare you for what's about to come. The first couple days are the roughest, but once you get thru the first 48 hours or so, you get to feeling pretty virtuous and proud. You can do it! The results are soooooo worth it!

The headache is from coming off of sugar I would think. It usually disappears by day 3 or 4. YOU CAN DO THIS! It's SO worth what you are doing it for. If I could only put into words what you are going to get out of this!

Yep, like everyone said, it does get easier. After surgery I had absolutely no appetite for at least 2wks. So hang in there. It will be so worth it when you get on the scale at your post op visit
