So, with the long, long stall going on with me here, I'm back to reading this rules for dummies post.
I would love to hear from some of those that have actually put these rules into action. Has anyone used the water-loading 15 minutes before eating (which is totally counter to the rules I was given) and the No drinking for 1 1/2 to 2 hours after eating (!!!)
I'm getting in the range of 150 oz of fluids- min of half is just plain ol' water (with lemon).. the other half is decaf tea, crystal light and decaf coffee but I normally stop drinking 1/2 hour before eating and only go 1/2 hour after eating before I start drinking again.
I do tend to eat in the 5-15 minute time frame so that isn't an issue for me so much. Protein is usually in the 80 to 90 grams a day. Weight loss is 10 lbs since Oct, so clearly I'm not doing *something* right, though I'm not sure what, exactly.

Very good information. I've printed it and will save as a reference. However, the rules stated here are not in sync with my own doctor's advice. I guess every surgeon has their own views...but generally this is fantastic info!
Thanks!

well... I've lost another 10 lbs since I made this post. No one seemed to have a comment on my questions back then, anyone now?

Huh? NO idea what this sentence has to do with anything. Care to expand on this?

Like I said.. some of the stuff makes sense... but I still think its important to follow your own surgeons guidelines...

I never lost all the weight I wanted to. Depression, stress, lack of exercise, slider foods, and no aftercare from my Dr. I regained 20 lbs and finally decided to do the 5DPT, lost 6 lbs, got in touch with my pouch, stopped the carb monster, and now after several weeks I am 10 lbs down. I am feeling encouraged and absolutely found the faster you eat the less you eat and the fuller you get quicker. It works and I am so happy to have found it. Thanks to all.
