Default Pre-op diet started.....counting down..

the days now. Today was day one of my pre-op diet, which I have to follow for two weeks. Two weeks from today at this time hopefully my surgery will be over and I will be on the road to a healthier me.

One day down, 13 to go...........day one wasn't SO bad. I really have not been hungry; not to say I don't want to eat something different, but I just didn't go there.

We grilled steak on the grill last night for Fathers Day and had relatives over for supper, and I really felt as if it were my last supper. It was OK to be my last, at least for a while. It is time to fix myself, whatever it takes.

I am glad I gave up diet coke a couple months ago. I am now not even missing it any more.

Good job Lori!

My surgeon has me doing the liquid diet for three weeks and I'm down one week so far! Two weeks from this thursday is my latest (I've been postponed twice!) surgery date (July 5th) and I am sooo ready!

Sunday/Father's Day was hard for me....we had a family reunion down in Seattle with Hawaiian food and family came over that still live on the islands bringing all kinds of goodies! I didn't touch a thing but don't know if I would have done so good if my 30 yr old son wasn't with me! On the ride home back up north he told me how proud he was that I made it through the day! It was a toughie!
