I can't believe I have spent most of my day off at the Doctors! I had planned to have everything done by 2 so I could enjoy the warm weather. But of course, sometimes Doctor's offices have a different take on what "on time" means!
I didn't get home until 5 but I did get some more tests accomplished:
1. Lung function test
2. EKG
3. Chest x-ray
Tomorrow morning I go for the gastro test. My daughter will be going with me to help me make it home. Luckily the hospital is only about 1 km away so not a long trip.
This will then mean all the tests will be complete and the paperwork can be handed in to the insurance people. They have told me it would be a maximum 10 day turnaround. My surgeon has told me to expect a denial for the first submittal as that is the usual in Germany. So, she is ready for the rebuttal and hopefully I will have my acceptance by mid to late July. The surgeon can do the surgery a week after the OK from insurance so I am getting really excited!! I can't wait to be on that loser's bench.
