I got a date!
I got a date! No, not the "dinner and a movie" kind of date - a surgery date - July 31!
I have been approved for the time off from work (six weeks) and I still have seven weeks until surgery to do any pre-op testing, deal with work issues, get the house in order and deal with any lifting, furniture moving, etc. while I still can, start the liquid diet (I'm waiting to hear from Dr. Schwartz about exactly when he wants me to start - he told some pre-ops at the WLS support group last week that he requires a minimum of two weeks and that six weeks is optimal, so it may be soon) and further prepare myself for the big day.
Just as an aside, my surgery will be at the same hospital where I was born, so my birth and rebirth will occur in the same place. For the astrology buffs, I have a question - I was born a Taurus, but will I be reborn a Leo?

Eric, how exciting for you!! Not much longer sir!!!
And having your birth and rebirth in the same hospital is a good omen. I had my Re-birth in my Birth hospital too.

Big congrats Eric. Either way it goes, it will be a day you will celebrate every year. So I guess you are a Leo as well.
