Default 2 week liquid diet??

I am on my 2 week liquid diet for pre-op. My options were 6-Carnation breakfast shakes or 5-Slimfast Optima or high protein. However, I am allergic to milk, therefore I am not able to tolerate the shakes. The nutritionist put me on whey protein shakes and mash potatoes. Has anyone else gone thru this process while having food allergies?

It's funny how different doctors require different diets.
I am on regular diet until two days before surgery, then it's clear liquids

Boy, I really wish I didn't have to do the two weeks. I miss eating boiled crawfish already. But hanging in there. Only 8 days to go!

for what its worth - I blend my protein supplement powder with ice cold water ... I prefer it that way as it gives it a much lighter taste ... and man that pre-op regiment sucks - hang in there
