Hi all. I have been approved for Gastric Bypass, and awaiting to hear a confirmation on my surgery date. Which will be within the next 2 weeks.
Both of my parents have had the surgery as well. I wanted to know from all any advise you could give a "newbie"?? I mean anything...from things to buy at the grocery store and stock up on, to ways to adapt to this new lifestyle.
I really enjoy this site. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Keep posting here to learn to adapt. As for dietary, follow your surgeon's guidelines. Ask your parents too, as they have a lot of insight. They probably even have enough left over jello and soups to give you for the first few weeks.
