Default Bad news...maybe

I'm really bumbed out right now. I knew my journey was happening too smooth. I got a phone call today saying that I have a abdominal CT scheduled for Thursday. Totally confused I called to see what the heck is going on. After an hour of calling I finally got a hold of a dr. They told me that a 10cc mass was found in my stomach area She said it was filled with fluid and something looks strange. Now I have to go have tests run to see what it is. I hope this doesn't hold things up!!! Please keep me in your prayers.

Angela,

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! Hopefully the "mass" is not as strange as they think!

And, not to worry, your surgery will happen when it is supposed to.

Take care.

Well a little clarification on the situation. They said that the mass in by my pancreas and adrenal gland. It makes me feel a little better that it's not in my stomach, I really don't want this to mess up my surgery. I have my appt tomorrow and should know more. Thanks for the support!

Maybe it's not so bad after all. Well it looks like the mass is just a cyst...thank God!!! I have an appt on Fri to see a urologist because the MRI showed that the cyst is by my left kidney. I spoke with Dr. Potts yesterday and he said they may be able to take care of the cyst at the same time as the GBS. I guess it all depends on the urology appt. I do have some good news...my surgery work-up is complete. Can you believe that? I had my seminar on 5/11 and all my test results are in. The only thing I'm waiting for is my appt Fri. I hope I'll be in dication next week. Well talk to you guys later

Wink Mass????

Hi Angela. Thank goodness the news is good. I wish I had read all the posts a little sooner....I could have helped ease your mind. I too had a mass. They never saw it on the sonagram, only felt it. My pcp and Callery said hernia, and that it would be fixed during my open surgery. Turned out NOT to be a hernia and Callery could not tell what it was during the surgery so he just left it alone. A few weeks post op I had the ct and it turned out to be a lipoma...basically a blob of fat tissue that moves a little. Some say it will shrink, go away, or I may have it removed w/lipo or a small incision and it will come out like a cyst. Weird and completely harmless. These bodies of ours!! Good luck w/dictation and all the anxiety coming up...you'll do fine!!! I hope it is quick...I think it moves pretty fast these days. Kudos =)
