I finally got my re-birthday date!! Rachel, Gini and I are gonna be podmates on January 23rd, 2007!! It's a fabulous day to get re-plumbed!!

For those of you who don't know, I originally got a surgery date of January 9th and had to request to be rescheduled since one of my oldest and dearest friends is getting married on January 12th. Yes, they fully understand the sacrifice I made for them and no, I will never cease to remind them of it in the years to come!

Congratulations Rene!!! That is sooo awesome. You will not believe how fast the time goes. I am almost 10 months out from surgery and it seems like yesterday that I was complaining that my surgery day would never come!

Happy re-birthday Rene. I'm so glad you finally got a firm date. Please let me know if there's anything you need help with during or after the surgery. Where are you having it..at the VA? I'd love to come visit if you feel up to it.

Darci, I'm going to be at the VA Hospital in LaJolla. The surgeon says average stay for them is 5 days--which seems like a long time after reading about folks going in on a Tuesday and being home by like Thursday! If you think I'll feel like company, then by all means, come on by!
