Surgery Date changed again!!
Well guy's I went in for my pre-op visit yesturday, And my Dr. changed mty date again he said he needed time to set up home health care for 10 days after my surgery... He's concerned about me being the largest person that he's done lap RNY on and I will need blood thinner injections for 10 days after my surgery, So my new date is tuesday 11/28/2006.... So please keep me in your prayer's that nothing else comes up.....

Sorry for the 'push-back'...I know it bites! You should feel good about your Dr. though, sounds like he doesn't want to take any chances and your his 'special' case. Which means you are going to get primo care!! Congrats...the 28th is really close!!

Cassie,
I'm sure after so much waiting and anticipation that the postponement must be a disappointment I am still a long way from even being given a surgery date, but I can just imagine how frustrating a delay must feel after you have waited so long. I do agree that it sounds like your Doctor is really not wanting to take any chances with your health and that's a great thing.
Hang in there and stay positive - keep your sights on the future - it will be here before you know it.
I am so excited to follow your progress after surgery!
Wishing you all the best and hoping time flies!!

Well, at least you won't be having turkey shakes on Thanksgiving!
But seriously, that time is going to fly by. Take advantage of it - get your house in order, get your shopping and laundry done, etc. You're going to be out of commission for a bit.
