Hello everyone!!!!!!!

I have just been approved by my insurance! It was sent to them yesterday afternoon and they approved it just now!! Can you tell that I am just a little more than excited!

I called Dr. C's office and told them that i was approved, they were just a little shocked that it was approved so fast. They said that I must have the record for going through the process the fastest. I have been a little bit of a pest, I am sure.

Well as some of you might know, I have been wanting to get my surgery by Christmas, so I could utilize the break that my work/college has. I work at a college, so we have two weeks off that does not count toward vacation or sick leave. That way if I took off about 4 weeks, then I would only need to take two weeks. Like I needed to explain any of this to anyone, I am just a little excited and nervous.

Well anyway, guess when my date is? Lisa said it will be December 13!!!

Actually, I am getting a little nervous, but it is all good.

That's incredible. What insurance co do you have? I'm out of dicitation and was faxed to my ins on 12/1.

Well,well,well, Davey! Talk about setting the bar high. I just posted a few days ago thinking I wasn't to far behind you! Wow, great job! I'll be getting my gallbladder ultrasound and you will be in surgery. Amazing!! Good luck and enjoy taking a breather. That part of the process is over. You deserve to be excited!!

Yea for you!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you. What great timing. It shows that persistance and dedication does pay off. Oh and a little luck thrown in there as well. Wishing you a safe and speedy recovery. Has it sunk in yet? I remember walking on cloud nine for a while then all of a sudden realizing what just happened. I was numb pretty much after that up until I hit the pre-op holding area.. then it really sunk in for me. Good luck to you..

Hello all,

The date ended up being the 15th of December, so I was off by two days. But all is very good. And yes Christina, I am in clound 9 and waiting for it to sink in. Then I am sure that I will be asking myself what the hell did I just do?

There was a lot of luck involved, well and a lot of being a pest. Everyone from the insurance company to everyone in Dr.C's office knows me by the sound of my name. I don't know if that is really a good thing?

Also, I want to thank everyone for all your prayers and well wishes. I am so glad to be joining all you very wonderful people.

I was really surprised how many people have issues with me getting the surgery. I just want them to be happy for me. So yes this site is very valuable.

I remember when I got THAT call... it was pure uphoria, I felt like I had won the lottery or something... I can only imagine thats how you feel too! Way to go... cant wait to have another brother on the other side!

Your surgery is the day before the Christmas party at Dr C's office, so all of us will have to come over and visit ya, all dressed up in our fancy pants... you lucky guy you.... we'll all be in our Sundays best! What a celebration! look forward to seeing you! Cogratulations, see you on the other side!
