Default Feeling overwhelmed

Ok so i have made it through to the waiting stage. Submitted last week and just waiting for insurance. My problem is that i am begining to feel a little overwhelmed. I have to small children and leave it to me to plan my surgery in the middle of my husbands hunting season. I know this sounds stupid and i can't believe that it is coming out of my mouth but this is my life. I have two small children and i know i will get stuck with them at least four days after my surgery. I am having my surgery if all goes well the fri before christmas so i will have lots of help. Also i can only stay out of work for a week and a half. Please tell me it can be done. I don't want to slip back into debt and the money at our house isn't added together. I pay my bills and he pays his. I know what i have to do i just need to hear that i will be able to do it. Please help.

Excuse me for being brutally honest, but if your husband is SO selfish that he can't miss a few days of hunting, which I'm sure he does each year, to take care of you and the kids and for you to do something that will help your health and change your life that is a one time thing, then I think I'd have a major issue if I were you! That is ridiculous. Gosh, some men really know how to show love, huh?

Don't mean to sound so harsh, but I have no tolerance for selfishness. That's just me.

While I dont want this to come out wrong, is it possible for your husband to rearrange his schedule to support you through this?

That said, I dont know, since my surgery is this week, but I am a firm believer that everythings possible, and that you could manage.
Still, have you discussed the options with him? Hopefully he can be home for you through this.

Darn it. I'm new and this is only my 2nd post and I don't want to come off as negative, but your husband needs to step up to the plate and deal with HIS children while their mother is recovering from MAJOR surgery.
I would demand it. There will always be more hunting in his future and it won't be the end of his world. I come from a family of hunters, I know how important it is to the men in our life, but this is where I draw the line.

I'm sorry you're not getting the support your deserve.

((((hugs))))

Rose
