I have UHC - the HMO option and they approved my surgery in 3 weeks. When I had my surgery all GB patients had their own private room (but that may be more of a doctor/hospital policy than the insurance company).

I am very pleased with UHC - that was last year though, I dont know if their policies have changed or not....

Good Luck

I used UHC and had a private room but like the other stated that was a year ago. They covered everything except $500 of my surgery. Everything went super fast with my approval process and had not hitches or glitches in the process. I didn't need anything, my surgeon processed all the necessary papers. I was approved within a few weeks! I hope you have the same luck
