Default United Healthcare

Well, I guess I haven't kept this thread going because I was very disappointed. Dr. Jabro said that I was "too healthy, too young, and that I had 3 children to consider". So he did not submit my referral to Dr. Mueller, he told me that HealthNet required a 6 month medically supervised diet and sent me over to the Sharp Weight Loss Program orientation. So...since my annual enrollment at work started in October...I switched insurances...I will have United Healthcare PPO as of January 2007. I already contacted Dr. Mueller's office and went to his seminar on October 25th. Two of my friends who have had WLS were approved by United Healthcare without a problem...since they are a PPO, I don't need a referral...so wish me luck! Has anyone had United Healthcare approve their WLS?

I also had UHC and never had an issue with them, they paid in full and I was approved within days without question! Everything went very smoothly for me. I didn't need a referral either, The clinic submitted the papers and within one week I was approved so I hope you have the same luck! Good LUCK!
