Default new and still researching

Hello everyone.. I must say what an inspiration you all are!!! I'm still in the researching process, thats why I joined the group. I'm seriously thinking of have a gastric bypass. I feel like instead of eating to live, I'm living to eat and I must take control of this now. I have tried numerous diets, pills, programs and I have failed at them all. So at 245 its time to make a decision. I still have questions that I'm searching for.. I'm 25 years old and married. I don't have children yet but would like to in the future. Has anyone here had children after the surgery and did you have any complications from it. I live in the NY metro area, does anyone here have a doctors they suggest in the area. Mostly I'm scared and excited, what a weird feeling. But I'm looking forward to the rest of my life. Anything anyone has to say about the surgery would be a great help..

Thanks!!

Well you know I can start off by telling you that this was the best thing I ever did for myself. I to am young and want kids. When I looked into this it's something that is better for us once we lose the weight.

Maryclipper is now prego and doing great. I know she has great information about this as well. Spending time with her has put my mind at rest even more. Feel free to send her a message and I'm sure she would be glad to help you with any questions.

Good luck with everything.

Oh and most of us here went through Dr. Callery or Dr. Potts for our surgery. They are wonderful Dr's and are in the same office together.
