Still waiting for my surgery date... - ThinnerTimes

Hi guys, just wanted to say how wonderful this place is, I really enjoy reading all the posts and corresponding with you all.

So, I'm still waiting for my surgery date, and I'm really grateful that I was approved, but now I'm frustrated because I've been waiting since September 7th to get a date. It seems like an unusually long time to me. I was just wondering what you guys thought, like if maybe I should call them and check in or something?

Last I heard, my EKG was sitting on the docs desk waiting for her to look at it, as soon as she looked at it the coordinator would be able to schedule surgery, this was weeks ago...

I'm a little down, needless to say, still way excited about the surgery, but worried that there may be something wrong with my ekg or.... I dont know....

I know you're anxious. I would call and be 'nicely' persistent...let them know you're still here and waiting to hear from them. It was just when I felt as though I was never going to get a date, I got one, and things are moving lightening fast now. I hope everything works out well for you!

Thanks! I'm glad you got your date! I'm going to give it until next Monday, that will be like a month almost... so I'll call if I don't hear from them by then.

By all means call them! I know I called three time with in one week after a two week wait. I knew that there was only the results from my sleep studies keepng me keeping me from getting a date. When I called, I did use a sense of humor and a bit of bribery.
