And say a prayer please. Today is my first appt with the surgeon. I go at 2 pm. Unfortunately I will not be near a computer when I get out to let you know how it went. I will post tonight and let you all know if you want me to.

Everything will work out! I remember my first visit with the surgeon. I was really anxious but it turned out to be a great learning experiance. Please let us know what happens.

Talking

Okay. Met with the surgeon and I instantly liked him. He treated me so nice. Second, I was only in there for 30 minutes. He drew a picture of exactly what they do to bypass the stomach. He was so nice.

I pretty much just asked him, how long this will take since I dont have to fight the insurance company. He asked me when I wanted the surgery, and I said as fast as I can get it. He laughed and said, "how about we do preops next Tuesday and bring your family in." I am so very excited.

He did tell me I have to lose 10 pounds before the surgery...WHY?

I also have to have a filter? Anyone else have to have one of these???

I wonder what the fileter is? I am sure someone here will be able to tell you. Sounds like you are on your way. Congrats. I am glad he drew a picture for you...that is really neat.
