Still no freaking date!!!!!!!
Hi there! Just wanted to tell you that my surgeon's office STILL hasn't called to schedule my surgery. I was approved last Wednesday! Holy Crap! I have talked to her, but she's just very busy and has to do them in order! Well, all I can do is wait. Hopefully in the next day or two I will have a date. I know it won't be until November at this point...but I just want to know the date so I can plan my life! I find I've been eating more the past few days....and I blame that scheduler!!!!!!! lol! I'm sure I'll have a date soon, and will post it when I do. Have a great night everyone!

Awww, honey! I'm so sorry they're stringing you along like this! At least this way, you have something to anticipate each day! I know, doesn't help much.

That part is very maddening! It makes it so hard to plan this way. Just hang in there....the important piece at least is over!

I'm so in the same boat, still waiting for a date too! I got approved on September 7th, what is it now like... the 18th? I called them today (again) and the girl I talked to said that she's going to do it as soon as she can... Uh... I mean hey, there's no sense of urgency eh? Not like I need the surgery right? I agree, it's so frustrating, it's like we've had to jump through so many hoops already, lets get on with it!

Elaine take it one day at a time. I don't know when you started your process but just be greatful that you have even been approved. Their are many people who would die to be where you are right now with being approved and on their way to the losing side. Look at the good and not the fact that you haven't been schudled yet. Please don't take this wrong but don't blame your eating on the scheduler, first step in making this tool work is excepting our own eating habits. I rooting you get a date real soon. Hang in there.

Denise is right...I'm one of those people who would love to be in your shoes, Elaine. Be careful not to resort to food for comfort at this point. I have heard that some surgeons will not proceed with th surgery if you gain ANYTHING right before surgery. Try keeping yourself busy with preparations, your time is coming!

I feel for you - I got the same run around from my surgeon's scheduler. She kept giving me a tentative date - I didnt want no frickin tentative date - I wanted a firm date so I could make some plans. I jumped through all their hoops and the least they could do was live up to their end of the bargain. I finally complained to the coordinator of my bariatric program and told her if I didnt get a straight answer soon i was going elsewhere with my authorization. Amazingly, I got a firm date soon thereafter.
