...of course, every one else is welcome to pitch in with opinions and ideas.
My Pre-Op appointment was last week on the 22nd, I had to sign what I like to call "the death contract", well, at least that's how the nurse made it sound..."if you sign here it means you're aware of all the risks included within the surgery which include cardiac arrest, death, blah blah blah". I literary had to take a deep breath before I took the pen from her hand, it's not like I didn't know because I'm aware of everything that COULD happen on the operating table and later on but it's always a little hard to hear & comprehend that you're signing something like that. But whatever, that's over and done with and I'm totally straying from topic...
She also told me that my LOVELY

surgeon requires me to go on the two week liquid diet. I start September 14th(can't wait!

..ugh). I must've snoozed off during nutrition class or something because I don't remember anything being discussed about what we're supposed to eat...well...drink during this time. They gave us a pamphlet but again, it doesn't say anything. I know it's probably because they're expecting us to use common sense when they say it's a "liquid diet". But anyway, for the ones that went through it or are currently going through it. Can you guys give me an example of what your "meals" consisted of?
There isn't a specific amount of weight I have to lose before surgery, the two week liquid diet is just a general requirement I guess. I know it's going to be hard but I am NOT planning on cheating or anything. One thing I don't want to happen is that they have to do an OPEN RNY on me instead of LAP. I know there are many factors that can cause this but if I can help reduce the risk then hell, I will. I have way too many scars on my body as it is and I hate it.
