Hello everyone!

I'm new but have been reading the forums for a few weeks now. I am very excited to be looking into WLS and hope to be going through all the "processes" in the near future. I am trying to get some questions prepared for my doctor's initial consultation and am wondering what I should be concerned about? Also, I've been trying to do some research on the LAP Band vs. laparoscopic RNY, I would love to have any ideas/thoughts, etc on that. Hope to find new friends and "family" here!

Hi and Welcome!
The more you read, the better prepared you'll be. I recommend going to a seminar of a dr you are considering, or one who does them in your area. You will get tons of information, and what you read here will make so much more sense.

I'm a newbie too and everyone here is very nice and helpful. The search function at the top is GREAT! Chances are if you have a question, it's been asked before and the old posts are great for research.

I'm always interested in what motivated someone to start their WLS journey. I'm looking into it because of some severe co-morbidities that I want to alleviate or at least diminish.
