Surgery Tomorrow
Hi, just wanted to let you all know that I'm about to leave the house and drive to Shreveport, where my surgery will be done. I'm scheduled to check in, in the morning, at 7.
It's still hard to believe that I was approved and am doing this. I don't think that I'll be able to sleep tonight!
I should be released on Monday and will post sometime after that.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you Shauna! I didn't think I slept the night before my surgery, but my hubby and son begged to differ, they said I snored all night!

On the Losing Side!!
Hi Everyone! Thanks for the support! My surgery was delayed a little but around Noon CST, I was wheeled into surgery. I remember thinking as I moved to the operating table, I really don't want to do this. Thankfully the medication kicked in quickly, and I was out in a few minutes!
When I awoke, I felt like I had been hit by the freight train! Every bump in the hall as I was wheeled to my room felt horrible, and I'll admit, I acted horrible! My family was there smiling at me, and I was like, don't smile at me!! Luckily for them, I was back out real quick!
I had open surgery, due to my doctor's preference, and my incision is probably 10" long. By Sunday evening and yesterday, I was feeling a lot better and am needing less pain pills. Half of my staples were removed yesterday, and I was able to come home yesterday evening, which I was really glad. (The ride home was difficult because it seemed that I could feel every bump in the road, and we had an 1.5 hour drive home! Even the pillow wasn't enough!)
Other than feeling like my stomach is falling and holding it when I walk and get up, I feel pretty good and will keep you all posted.
