Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes. The count down has begun. T minus 6 days and counting. The nerves and emotions are on overdrive. I am taking my 2 weeks vacation time off of work and I have enlisted my mother (who has a household of her to tend to 70 miles away) to be mine and my sons care taker. I don't even have a spare bedroom, so I bought her a nice air matress to stay on. I've been nesting like crazy. Cleaning things almost like I was OCD. I'm doing laundry and thinking to myself that I washing most of these clothes for the last time. I was just really starting to like my closet full of cute clothes too. But I'm not complaining. I have a list of a few things to get at the grocery store and I will be packing my hospital stay bag in the next few days. I'm thinking a pillow, chapstick, personal stuff like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste/brush, deoderant and a sweatsuit to wear home. Anyone think of anything else. I have my pre-op appointment and registration on Thursday so I'm sure I'll learn more there.

I came home in my jammies! LOL I didn't bother with wearing "real" clothes. I didn't care if anyone looked at me at that time. I felt so swollen and achy that I just wanted to get home. I don't think I could have stood anything around my waist such as a waistband even from sweats.

I came home in jammies too! At Pomerado, they provided everything you could need, including lip balm, but if you really want makeup and hair stuff, you're on your own. I wore mine up in a clip for a couple days, and it was just fine.

Jenn:
Bring a travel clock if you have one (the one in my room at Club Pom was broken). And, your cell phone (the phone in my room was broken, too). You'll get to shower, so bringing your shampoo and stuff is a good idea. But don't worry about makeup - you won't have the energy or desire to use any of it. The time goes by SO fast, before you know it, you'll be back on your own sofa at home! Good luck - God bless.
